UARA-STARS Head South for Toyota of Easley 150
Hendersonville, N.C. (5/28/12) –While most stadiums and auditoriums remain vacant during the summer months, Anderson Motor Speedway will have their lights burning bright Friday, June 1st for the return of the UARA-STARS in the Toyota of Easley 150. Toyota of Easley is located at 5643 Calhoun Memorial Highway celebrating 30 years of service to the Easley area. They have been awarded the Toyota Prestigious Presedent Award 22 times for outstanding customer service.
The STARS have had a little less than a month to prepare for the event. With most of our field being new to the series and new to the track, they’ll have to fight off the local young guns. R.A. Brown, who ran with the STARS at Dillon, plans to attend the event on Friday. Brown faced some bad luck in Dillon and ended the night early. This South Carolinian is very familiar with the groove of the track and is ready to show the other STARS his true talent and get his crew in victory lane.
Two other locals that are also planning to compete in the Toyota of Easley 150 are the Burns Brothers. Jeremy and Will Burns are fierce competitors when it comes to the S. Carolina tracks. During their last appearance with the STARS, Jeremy dominated the race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway and brought home a fifth place finish. Younger brother Will dealt with unfortunate events that cut his first UARA race short. Both brothers are ready to strap in their cars and earn those bragging rights.
Not only will these local young guns and STARS have to dazzle the Anderson crowd with their talent, they will also be the entertainment of a corporate event. Rookie Devin Jones has teamed up with the leading data storage and virtualization solution provider in the Southeast Region, VeriStor. VeriStor plans to load a bus full of their employees to treat them to a night of good ole’ racing. Not only will they get to see the up and rising STARS, they will also get to experience firsthand the pride of having their name on Jones’ no. 35 machine.
After the first four events, fans should be anxious to see what these drivers have up their sleeve for Friday night. The UARA-STARS always deliver quite a show at Anderson. Racing along with the UARA-STARS will be the B-M Modifieds, Front Wheel Drives, Legends and the Carolina Vintage Racers. It will be an exciting night of paint swapping, fender bending excitement.
Grandstand gates open at 5:30 p.m. followed by qualifying at 5:45 p.m. followed by the pit party. The pit party is the perfect opportunity for fans to come out and meet their favorite STARS. The engines with fire up for racing at 8:00 p.m..
