HENDERSONVILLE, NC (May 14, 2012)
Coleman Pressley Declared Official Winner of Kingsport
After tech was completed and appeals filed and reviewed, it was declared on Wednesday May 9th that Coleman Pressley was the official winner of the UARA event at Kingsport held on May 4, 2012. As a past champion of the UARA Pressley is no stranger to the winners circle with the series.
With this said and done the point race has tightened up and Travis Swaim finds himself on top of the leader board with Tim George Jr., Dillon Bassett, Ronnie Bassett Jr and Tyler Laing, Ben Rhodes, Scott Turlington, Jake Morris, Sean Rayhall and Devin Jones rounding out the top ten of the points battle at this time.
Although there was a setback for previous point leader Ronnie Bassett Jr. with his determination and go get 'em attitude he said
"I just wanna say a big thanks to everyone who has had faith and still does in me and my race team! This team will come back stronger than before! Thanks to all the fans for your support and your thoughts! Keep tuned, we will be back at Anderson on June 1st to see how we shake out!" Bassett will give it his all at Anderson on June 1st. His last visit there found him in the winners circle and he will be sure to have that goal in mind.
Another driver that had a setback at Kingsport but still maintains 11th in the overall point battle is Rookie contender Josh Wright of Commerce Mo. Josh has been a strong competitor for the beginning of the UARA season with 7th, 4th and 11th place finish in the first three events. Engine failure ended his quest for a good race at Kingsport but just hang on . Wright should be back and in good form when the UARA-STARS next hit the track at Anderson Motor Speedway on June 1, 2012.
Young Dillon Bassett still leads the Xtreme Trophies and More Rookie Challenge followed by Tyler Laing, Ben Rhodes, Jake Morris, Sean Rayhall, Devin Jones, Josh Wright, Brandon Jones, Cory Joyce and Trey Marcham. This is one talented Rookie group for 2012.
