The UARA Top Ten Countdown - 2nd Brennan Poole

Brennan Poole is a driver we should all keep our eyes on. Poole made his debut race with the UARA March 21, 2009 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Poole showed his talent all through 2009 and came home as the Rookie of the Year. He had no wins or Sunoco Poles for his debut year but consistency paid off for the young Texas wonder.

Poole followed his rookie year up with an awesome 2010. Poole has put his name in the record books as the only driver to win six races in one season. Not only did he do that, Poole had a super run at Tri County mid season and took the checker which would have given him seven wins. That was to be denied due to an engine adjustment that didn't pass tech inspection.

Poole didn't let that get him down though, he just picked up where he left off and brought home three wins back to back shortly after the Tri County incident. That one small infraction may very well have been the deciding factor in Poole not winning the UARA Championship. He ended up 28 points behind his friend and roommate 2010 UARA Champion Coleman Pressley. That Tri County race would have netted Poole 119 points.

Poole set on the Sunoco Pole three times in 2010 and led more laps than any other driver in 2010 with a total of 506 official laps led out of the 2107 total laps that he had run on the record books. Poole's finishes consisted of (6) 1st, (4) 3rd, (2) 4th, (1) 9th, (1) 10th, and (1) 12th. Poole not only had the most laps led for 2010, he would lead the board with an average finish of 3.80 for the year. Poole was the winner of the ARbodies Hard Luck award at Ace speedway. On the green-white-checkered restart at Ace contact knocked Poole’s car out of second position as a gaggle of cars stacked up, leaving turns one and two resembling an accordion.

Poole officially won the Sonic Most Lap Led award four times in 2010. He also won the G Force Shift of the Race award two times.

Poole and FHR had formed a formidable alliance for 2009 and 2010. As time goes on they however parted ways at season end. More details will be forthcoming as to who, what and where with Poole and FHR.

"The 2010 season was a great year for us. It was a blast racing with the UARA-STARS and I'm looking forward to racing on the tour again in 2011 " Poole said.
