Street Stock Rules

3200 pounds with driver before race.

55% maximum left side weight with driver.


Competing Models

1965 thru 2009 models only of American built cars or trucks with standard wheel base of 106” or more permitted. Car or truck must be wheel base of make and model and remain unaltered. Rear wheel drive only.


Engines

All GM engines must be located so the center of the forward most spark plug hole on the right side of engine block is in line with the center line of front upper ball joint. Ford and Chrysler engine may be located so that front of cylinder head on right side is in line with center of upper ball joint. Center of crankshaft must be centerline of frame tread width, front and rear must retain minimum 12” height.

A. Only standard production engines allowed.

B. Engines may be interchanged in manufacture lines only.

C. Engines: GM 350 + overbore, Ford 351 + overbore, Chrysler 360 + overbore.

D. No porting or relieving of any kind will be permitted.

E. Engine may be balanced.

F. Hydraulic cam and lifters, Stock rocker arm ratio. Stamp steel solid rockers. NO ROLLERS. GM 450 cam lift maximum at valve. Ford and Chrysler 510 lift at the valve. No solid lift or roller cams permitted.

G. Steel racing oil pan permitted.

H. No windage trays in oil pan.

I. No polishing or painting inside of block. Oil screen permitted in oil drain holes.

J. Overbore of .060.

K. No electric fuel pumps permitted.

L. Stock connecting rods only. No polishing or machine work will be permitted.

M. Manufactures stock crank with stock stroke must be retained, No alterations.

N. Crank journals may be ground for undersize bearings. No other machine work will be permitted.

O. Flat top piston only. Stock replacement type only.

P. Piston must not exceed top of block, except Chrysler.

Q. Four bolt-main blocks permitted with stock caps only.

R. No electric water pump.

S. Spec engine and carburetor purchased from JRM allowed. Must run Holley H0 0-4776C 600 CFM carburetor and will be allotted a 100 pound weight break.


Cylinder Heads

A. Cylinder heads must be stock for make of engine.

B. No high performance or high compression heads will be permitted.

C. Open chamber heads only. Minimum cylinder head specifications; Ford 56cc, Dodge 64cc, Chevrolet 72cc, AMC 56cc.

D. Valve size specifications: Chevrolet 1.945-1.505, Ford 1.852-1.543, Dodge 1.880-1.600, AMC 2.030-1.685

E. No high performance valve springs permitted. .177” OD wire size permitted on Chevrolet.

F. No cutting of head for larger valve springs.

G. Poli locks permitted on rocker arm studs.

H. Studs in heads may be pinned.

I. Screw in rocker arm studs permitted. Screw in studs and guide plate permitted.

J. Milling of head boss for screw in studs permitted.

K. Racing valve job permitted. Three angle only.

L. No blending of valve job with rotor tool to casting.

M. No angle cut heads permitted.

N. Valve angle must remain stock.

O. No extra plugs or machine work permitted on heads.

P. heads may be flat cut or surfaced.

Q. No porting, polishing or grinding will be permitted.

R. All casting numbers must remain unaltered..

S. Swirl polished valves permitted, under cut no less than 0.302.

T. Ford GT 40 heads are permitted. Must have screw in rocker arm studs.


Intake and Spacer

A. The following Eldebrock aluminum intakes are required. Chevrolet #2101, Ford with 4 bbl heads #2665, Ford with 2 bbl heads # 2750, Ford Windsor #2181Chrysler #2176.

B. No porting, polishing or gasket matching will be permitted.

C. Only a one piece solid aluminum spacer, ¾” in thickness, must be installed between the intake manifold and the carburetor.

D. Spacer must be centered on intake manifold.

E. Spacer must have two holes with 1 ½” openings that match the base of the carburetor.

Holes must be centered and cut perpendicular with the base of the carburetor. No tapers or bevels.

F. Only 2 paper gaskets, 1 per side, maximum thickness .065 will be permitted.

G. No adjustable spacers will be permitted.

H. No other modifications will be permitted.


Carburetor

Holley 2300 2bbl carburetor model #7448 with a venture size of 1 3/16” and maintaining

throttle bore maximum size of 1 ½”. See below for rework guidelines:

A. No polishing, grinding or drilling holes will be permitted in the body of the carburetor.

B. Choke may be removed and all holes must be permanently sealed.

C. Choke horn may not be removed and/or altered.

D. Boosters may not be altered in size, shape or height.

E. Venturi area must not be altered in any manner. Casting ring must not be removed.

F. Base plate must not be altered in shape or size.

G. Stock butterflies must not be thinned or tapered. Idle holes may be drilled in butterflies. Screw ends may be cut even with shafts, but screw heads must remain standard.

H. Throttle shafts must remain standard and may not be cut or thinned in any manner.

I. Any attempt to pull outside air other than through the venturis is not permitted.

J. All carburetors will be checked and inspected with LPR gauges.

K. All carburetors will be 350 CFM with a stock metering plate only. (NO ALTERING)


Air Cleaners

A. Round air cleaner element minimum of twelve (12) inches-maximum of seventeen (17) inches in diameter permitted.

B. Top and bottom of air cleaner must be the same size.

C. Element must be minimum of one and one half (1 ½”) and a maximun of (4”) inches in height.

D. Dry type paper element only.

E. No tubes, funnels or anything, which may control the flow of air, are permitted inside the air cleaner or between the carburetor and air cleaner.

F. No shield around air cleaner will be permitted.

G. Base of air cleaner cannot extend higher than carburetor choke horn.


Cooling System

A. Aluminum radiators permitted.

B. All cars must have overflow hose that exits at windshield.

C. Antifreeze is absolutely not permitted!

D. Electric fans are permitted.

E. Radiators must be stock appearing and installed in stock location.


Exhaust

A. Single flange tube headers permitted. Maximum ID 1 5/8”, only collector may be larger.

B. No wrap around or 180-degree headers will be permitted.

C. Aftermarket exhaust manifolds permitted.

D. Exhaust manifold pipes must not exceed. 3” OD. No X or crossover pipes.

E. All exhaust must exit behind the driver.


Transmission and Flywheel Assembly

A. Stock transmissions only.

B. 3 or 4 speed manual transmissions permitted.

C. No after market transmissions will be permitted.

D. Stock type clutch minimum size 10 ½”.

E. Blow proof bell housing required.

F. Flywheel must be magnetic steel or cast iron (14 pound minimum). No aluminum fly wheels permitted.

G. Flywheel must maintain standard OEM configuration in all respects.

H. Aluminum or light weight steel with stock steel pressure plate and steel clutch disc permitted in Ford and Chrysler.

I. Hydraulic clutch slave system may be used to operate clutch.


Rear Ends

A. Stock type rear end may be used.

B. Rear ends may be locked.

C. Floating rear ends permitted.

D. 9” Ford rear end is OK.

E. Rear end hook up must be stock from factory. Trailing arms must be stock for make and model.

F. 4 Link cars can use 3 link. Adjustable Pan-Hard bar can be used. Upper link must be solid. No pull bars or spring rods. Must have stock lower trailing arms mounted in stock location.

G. NO cambered rear ends.

H. For C clip axles. C clip eliminators required.


Spring and Shocks

A. Racing springs optional as long as they fit in original position. No coating permitted.

B. Any approved steel shock.

C. Springs front and rear must match body and may be shortened to lower car.

D. Up to 3” lowering blocks permitted on rear. No adjustable blocks.

F. Only rubber type spacers are permitted in coil springs. No sliders.


Frames

A. No shortening or altering in any way.

B. Frame rails and sub-frames must be stock for make and year model.

C. Sub-frame cars may run front or rear steer.

D. Stock lower A-arms must remain unaltered. Stock or tubular upper A-arms in stock location with stock mounts. If tubular are used, they must be steel, non-adjustable. After market bushing and ball joints accepted.

E. Weight jacks permitted.

F. Solid engine and transmission mounts are permitted.

G. Stock steering box and steering arms only.

H. 5” minimum ground clearance at rockers, 3” ground clearance at sub frame.

Subject to inspection before and after the race.

I. Stock spindles or Late Model spindles accepted.


Wheels

A. Maximum width 8”

B. No type of air bleeders will be permitted.

C. All four wheels must be the same size and offset. 67 ½ maximum tread width.


Tires

A. Track tires only . No exceptions. 8 inch tires.

B. Tires must be purchased at LPR.

C. Only two tires per week after First race of the year.

D. Tires must be run on same day as purchased.


Fuel and Fuel System

A. Track fuel only.

B. No nitrous oxide will be permitted.

C. No type of cooling of fuel will be permitted.

D. Fuel cells must have foam.

E. The maximum capacity allowed is 22 gallons.

F. Fuel cells must have working check valve and foam.

G. Fuel cells must be mounted equal distance between frame rails and at least 9” minimum ground clearance.

H. Fuel cell must be mounted in approved steel can.

I. Fuel cells with right side fill will not be permitted.

J. No electric fuel pumps will be permitted.

K. A fuel cell protector bar must be installed at the rear of the frame. A protective bar, minimum 1- ½ inches in diameter must extend below the rear frame section behind the fuel cell. This protective bar must be as wide as the rear frame rails and extend as low as the bottom of the fuel cell with two vertical uprights evenly spaced between the frame rails and attached to the rear cross member. Two support bars, one located on each corner, must angle upwards and be welded to the rear frame rails.


Electrical System

A. Starter must be in good working order. Ford type solenoid permitted.

B. Battery may be relocated but must be bolted down securely and covered or placed in a magnetic steel battery box.

C. Only one 12-volt battery permitted.

D. Stock HEI ignition permitted on all models.

E. Stock distributor with single points permitted.

F. No dual point distributors permitted.

G. Stock type coils permitted.

H. No after market distributors permitted. Must maintain stock firing order.


Brakes

A. Stock brakes.

B. Brake and clutch pedals may be after market.

C. Disc brakes permitted on front and rear.

D. One master cylinder with proportioning valve inside car.


Bodies

A. Body must remain stock appearing.

B. Doors must be welded riveted and bolted shut.

C. All glass and flammable materials must be removed.

D. Lexan windshield required. Back glass optional, 1/8” Lexan recommended.

E. Quarter panels and front fenders may be cut for tire clearance only.

F. Front inner fender may be removed.

G. Aftermarket noses permitted must be stock appearing. All air must go through radiator. 5” minimum ground clearance.


Roll Cage

A. 6-point cage with curved door bars required. Additional two bars may be run from main hoop into trunk.

B. Roll bars must be welded and made of at least .090” roll bar tubing.

C. Approved loop around radiator and behind grill is permitted.


Spoilers

A. Homemade spoilers must not be over 5” high and must be no wider then the deck lid. Spoiler must maintain a 40-50 degree angle.

B. Spoiler must be mounted on the rear of deck lid. Factory spoilers permitted on rear.

C. No front spoilers of any type.


Bumpers

A. Bumpers must be stock appearing for make and model.

B. No bracing will be permitted.


Wheel Base

Wheelbase must be stock from factory.
